Code of Conduct
PAUS CODE OF CONDUCT
The goal of PAUS is to provide a highly competitive, fair, and professional environment for esports. By participating, you agree to uphold the following standards of behavior.
1. Competitive Integrity
Fair play is the foundation of this league. The following are strictly prohibited:
-
Cheating: Use of any third-party software, scripts, macros, or hardware modifications that provide an unfair advantage.
-
Match-Fixing: Intentionally losing a match or manipulating the outcome for any reason (including betting or helping another team).
-
Smurfing/Ringing: Playing on an unregistered account or allowing another person to play on your account during a league match.
-
Exploiting: Intentionally using "in-game bugs" that are banned per the specific Game Rulebook.
2. Professionalism & Sportsmanship
Participants are expected to behave like professional competitors.
-
Toxic Behavior: Any form of hate speech, racism, sexism, or discrimination is grounds for immediate and permanent expulsion.
-
Harassment: Stalking, bullying, or verbal abuse directed at players, staff, or viewers (on or off-platform) will not be tolerated.
-
Public Image: Participants must not make disparaging comments about the League, its sponsors, or its staff that could cause "reputational damage."
3. Match Day Protocol
-
Punctuality: Teams must be in the lobby at the designated start time. Excessive delays (e.g., 15+ minutes) will result in a map or series forfeit.
-
Technical Readiness: Players are responsible for their own internet connection and hardware.
-
Lobby Conduct: All "All-Chat" communication during a broadcasted match must remain professional. No "trash-talking" that crosses into personal attacks.
4. Media & Interview Requirements
To grow the league, we require cooperation with our broadcast team:
-
Interviews: If requested, winning teams must provide at least one player for a post-match interview.
-
Comms: If the league requests access to team voice-comms for "Listen-ins," players must remain professional and avoid excessive profanity.
5. Enforcement & Penalties
League Management reserves the right to issue penalties based on the severity of the violation:
-
Verbal Warning: For minor first-time infractions.
-
Map/Series Loss: For punctuality or minor integrity issues.
-
Prize Forfeiture: For mid-level violations or repeated toxicity.
-
Permanent Ban: For cheating, match-fixing, or severe harassment.
If it isn't explicitly written here, but it's clearly malicious or unsportsmanlike, we still have the right to punish it.
